Today, visitors can enjoy Titchfield Abbey. Although much was destroyed in the reign of Henry VIII, you can still visit the site and enjoy the gatehouse building with its medieval stone tiled floors and the remains of the church itself.

Portchester Castle also dates back to medieval times and is located on the outer entrance to Portsmouth's extensive harbour. It has acted as the defensive building for what was once a port, and was also the place where British monarchs launched attacks on France from the safety and security of the castle walls.
