Both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic offer flights several times weekly into the island taking around 11 hours with a stop off in another island such as St Lucia. Connecting flights to Gatwick are available from several UK departure points.

If the direct options do not suit, the only real alternative is to fly via the USA through Miami on American Airlines.

Grenada flights land at St George's Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND), previously Point Salines International Airport, on the south-western tip of the island. The sole airport on Grenada, it serves all air traffic to the country, including year round flights direct from the UK and USA.

Travelling onwards, visitors can use taxi cabs, car rental or local bus services, the most common form of transportation, to journey around the island. A taxi from the airport to hotels around Grand Anse Bay will cost around 40 East Caribbean dollars or 16 US dollars (both are accepted; it’s the equivalent of around £10). This is a 10-minute journey from the airport; some resorts are much further away. Bus services are much cheaper but much slower, and taxis will, of course, cost more.

Grenada's sister islands, including Carriacou and Petit Martinique, are also easily accessible via ferry. Ferries sail regularly from the port in St George’s.
