Compare Prague flights

While the cheapest Prague travel option is generally to go by air, there are other more adventurous ways to reach the city. If you’ve got plenty of time to kill, why not try the train?

Start by catching the Eurostar from London to Brussels before transferring by high-speed train to Cologne. From here, the Phoenix City Night Line sleeper train will whisk you across to Prague while you snooze. Book a deluxe cabin and you’ll even have a private shower and toilet, plus breakfast in bed.

Prefer to break up the journey? Berlin, Cologne and Munich are all obvious places to spend the night before picking up a speedy service to Prague the next day. All are great fun to explore and are packed with good hotels, interesting sites and awesome eateries. Travelling by train needn’t cost the earth either. You can pick up tickets from London to Prague for under €100, although that doesn’t include the cost of a stopover.

Yet another alternative is to travel by car. It’s 800 miles from London to Prague – quite a drive by any measure. The best way to tackle this epic road trip is to take it slowly.

Catch the ferry from Dover to Calais then stop off in edgy Brussels before hitting the road again. Cologne, Frankfurt and Nuremburg all make ideal overnight stop-off points as you wind your way across Germany.

Or why not make a short diversion to visit Luxembourg? With so many cheap Prague flights on offer from the UK, driving might not be the cheapest way to reach the golden city – but it’s certainly the most adventurous.
