There are no direct flights from the UK to Fiji, however you can take one-stop flights direct from London Heathrow to Nadi (NAN) on the Fijian island of Viti Levu with Air New Zealand, changing plane in Los Angeles. Alternatives route you through Australia on Qantas Airways, or Seoul with Korean Airlines. Several airlines also connect with Fiji Airways via Hong Kong or Los Angeles.

The airports of Nausori (SUV) on the island of Suva, Labasa (LBS) and Sauvsavu (SVU) on Vanua Levu and Modei (TVU) on the island of Taveuni can all be reached on services with Fiji Airways via Nadi.

There are a number of airports in Fiji; the main gateway to the islands is Nadi International Airport on the main island of Viti Levu. Nausori International Airport, close to the capital of Suva, is Fiji’s second international air hub.

Public buses, from the traditional open-windowed kind to modern, air-conditioned coaches, serve passengers travelling between the main airports and nearby towns and cities.

Taxis are good value and line up outside of arrivals.

Hotel transfer services are also widely available and often offer the best compromise between cost and convenience.

Alternatively, book car hire in Fiji and get about at your own pace. But beware: some roads are in a poor condition and are likely to be used by cows and other animals as well as cars!
