Flights to Warsaw

The Polish capital is easy to reach from the UK with a range of non-stop services available...

Flights from London to Warsaw are available with British Airways and LOT (Polish Airlines) from London Heathrow, and with Norwegian from Gatwick. Wizzair also flies into Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW), with services from UK airports including Birmingham, Luton, Doncaster, Bristol, Aberdeen and Bristol.

Flights to Warsaw from Manchester, meanwhile, are operated by Ryanair and arrive at a different airport: Warsaw-Modlin Mazovia (WMI). Ryanair also serves this airport from Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow, Liverpool, and Stansted.

Connecting flights are available via Paris with Air France, Amsterdam with KLM and Copenhagen with SAS.

Warsaw Chopin Airport is the busier of the city’s two airports.

Here, there are five public bus services to take passengers between arrivals and the city centre. A single ticket costs a few Polish zloty per person (less than £1 each). The journey time is 30 minutes.

Two train services - the S2 and S3 (the latter is a faster service) - also operate. The cost is the same as the bus, just 4,40 zloty. Journey times are also similar, although peak-time travellers might prefer the train to dodge the traffic.

It costs around 40 zloty to take a taxi to your central destination in Warsaw (about £8).

Warsaw-Modlin Mazovia Airport is further from the city.

From here, you can take a ModlinBus express shuttle between the airport and Warsaw city centre. It costs 19 zloty (£3.50) per passenger and can take as little as 40 minutes. Alternatively, take the airport bus to the nearby train station and complete the journey by rail. For travel by taxi, the 40-minute journey costs around 100 zloty.
