Flights to Seychelles

For those staying on other islands in the archipelago, transfers are quick and easy as the airport on Mahé is also the main hub for inter-island flights.

In addition, the private helicopter service ZilAir operates next door to the airport. Transfers to private island resorts must be booked through the individual resorts rather than direct with ZilAir.

Cheap flights to the Seychelles can be found between February and April and in June, which are considered low season. Prices then shoot up between July and August and December and January, so if you want to travel during these months and hope to find cheap Seychelles flights, book at least three to four months in advance.

The cheapest flights to the Seychelles are often found with Kenya Airways, Emirates and Turkish Airlines.

The Seychelles is an increasingly popular cruise destination. Cruise lines stopping in the Seychelles include Silversea, Oceania, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Most of these dock in Mahé and a few stop at La Digue, as these are the only two islands with suitable docks. More recently, two smaller cruise liners, Crystal Esprit and Variety Cruises, have been offering weeklong cruises to explore more of the islands. Given the smaller size of their ships, they are able to anchor in bays and off uninhabited islands that don’t have docking facilities.

Visas are not required for British passport holders. Note, however, that if you have travelled through any country at risk of yellow fever prior to entering the Seychelles, you will be required to show a vaccination certificate.
