Low-cost airlines rule the skies over the Costa Brava, offering cheap flights to Girona in 2024 direct from cities around the UK.

Flights to the Costa Brava usually take off from May onwards, as the season hots up, and run until the end of October.

Jet2 has the most direct flights to Girona, with several departures a week from Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast, Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham, Stansted, and from East Midlands Airport.

Ryanair offers cheap flights to Girona from Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and a number of other regional airports in the summer, as well as flights from London Luton, London Stansted, and Bournemouth.

While Girona flight prices are often similar from one budget airline to another, be sure to compare not only the price of the seat but also the cost of added extras.

Located about one and a half hours south of the Costa Brava by car or bus, this airport is a major Spanish hub and hosts countless airlines including British Airways, Iberia (the Spanish national airline), easyJet, Norwegian and Air Europa.

For those wanting to visit Girona and the Costa Brava out of high season in 2024, flights to Barcelona are a good option and certainly worth comparing.
