Flights to Jerez

Jerez de la Frontera is a major city in Andalusia, Spain. Warm and sunny almost all year round, it boasts a number of beautiful buildings and tourist attractions, including the Monumental Compound of the Moorish Palace, the Archaeological Museum and the Domecq Palace.

In a quiet south-western corner of Spain you'll find Jerez, a sleepy city with lots going on once you dig beneath the surface...

With cheap flights on offer direct from the UK to Jerez, the city makes the most of its strong British links.  It has a background in horse breeding via the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and equestrian events such as the Jerez Horse Show, held annually.

It is also renowned for its sherries, with a number of sherry houses located here, such as the Gonzalez-Byass, Sandeman, Tio Pepe and Alcazar. These can be visited on guided tours, including the chance to taste the various types of sherry from pale finos through to rich amontillados.

You can also visit local landmarks such as the Del Salvador Cathedral, Palacio del Tiempo and the Hamman Arab Baths. The city is also host to an annual flamenco festival.

While you are there, take the time to explore some of the beautiful churches in the region, such as the San Miguel and Santiago churches. The town of Arcos de la Frontera is just a short drive away, great for exploring and taking in the sights from the hillside church and winding streets.

The famous port of Cadiz is also well worth a visit, as it was from here that explorers set off for the Americas.  And Seville can be reached in under an hour, with its wonderful cathedral and Alcazar.

Beaches on the Costa de la Luz, a short drive away from Jerez, are perfect for those who enjoy surfing, with quieter spots for those looking for some relaxation away from the tourist meccas of the Cost del Sol.
