Flights to Tanzania

You can no longer get a direct flight to Tanzania from the UK. But there are a range of options to reach the country...

The fastest routes to the capital of Dar Es Salaam are with Kenya Airways operating via Nairobi from London Heathrow or on connecting flights with KLM from around the UK through Amsterdam. Flights take around twelve hours each way.

British Airways also operates services via Doha with its partner Qatar Airways. Lufthansa and Swiss offer flights from around the UK via their hubs in Germany and Switzerland, and Etihad and Emirates operate via the Middle East from several UK departure points.

Zanzibar can be reached in around an hour from the capital Dar Es Salaam with Air Tanzania.

Just a small hop across the water from the mainland lie the islands of exotic Zanzibar, an enclave of luxury and exclusivity that tops many travellers’ bucket lists.
