For the capital of Tunis, British Airways flies from London's Gatwick while Tunisair flies from Heathrow, with daily non-stop services taking under three hours. Otherwise you need to fly via London or via a European gateway such as Paris or Frankfurt to reach the city from the UK.

Holiday flights tend to arrive at Enfidha for the coastal resorts and TUI has an extensive network of weekly departures including Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow. Many of these operate year round. The island of Djerba can also be reached, although generally only from Manchester and Gatwick.

Monarch also offers services into Enfidha from Gatwick and Manchester. 

Connecting flights to the holiday destinations are pretty much non-existent so tend not to provide a viable alternative to the non-stop options.

There are many options for getting to and from the airports in Tunisia. 

If you are staying in one of the famous beach resorts you will find that taxis are both reasonable value and plentiful, while public buses also run frequently to cater for holiday traffic. Pick up an air-conditioned cab at Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport, for example, and you can travel to destinations such as Sousse or Hammamet (both around a 35-minute drive) for around 60 Tunisian Dinar, about £20. If there are only two of you travelling, this is still a well-priced and convenient option. 

Some of the nation's airports are located close to railway lines, so you could look at the possibility of using the train to reach your final destination.
