When to go to Tsilivi

Holidaymakers begin arriving in Tsilivi in May, when average daytime temperatures reach beyond 20C. These hot days and warm nights linger until October, when the holiday season comes to an end. July and August experience the hottest weather, with more than 12 hours of sunshine and temperatures that often creep above 30C. These peak months are the busiest in Tsilivi. If you are hoping for a hot Tsilivi holiday with fewer fellow tourists, look at breaks in June and September.

What to do in Tsilivi

Loggerhead turtle nesting season; peaks June-September: Tread carefully as you explore the sands of Laganas Bay in the south of Zante (a 30-minute drive from Tsilivi) as these beaches are nesting sites for the majority of the European population of loggerhead turtles. To protect the creatures, parts of the beaches are off limits, while volunteers will guide visitors around some of the accessible spots. If you’re lucky, you might even see one hatch.
