Jerez Horse Fair; May: The Feria del Caballo attracts crowds keen to see the purebred magnificence of some of Spain's finest horses. Eating, drinking and dancing go on into the early hours each night.

El Rocio Pilgrimage; May: Held 50 days after Easter, this pilgrimage to the village of El Rocio near Almonte is a stunning spectacle. Many of the participants make the journey on horseback wearing traditional flamenco clothing; you can see them en route at various places around the Costa de la Luz.
