Carnival; February/March: Inhibitions are left at home as almost everyone in Corfu dons fancy dress, grabs a bottle or two, and takes to the streets to follow the colourful floats and loud concerts that mean only one thing – Carnival!

Easter; March/April: Easter in Corfu is one of the most celebrated events of the year. You’ll find a joyous holiday atmosphere wherever you go. Concerts and street parties intertwine with three days of religious events and local customs.

Varkarola; August: It’s worth the drive – just over an hour – up the coast to Paleokastrista for this annual event. Colourful boats are filled with traditionally dressed choirs who serenade onlookers. The evening ends with a huge display of fireworks over the bay.
