Festa do Frango no Churrasco; July: Locals look forward to the “chicken festival” for months. For three days, barbecued chicken is well and truly on the menu in Albufeira’s Guia, where piri-piri chicken was invented. Live music is a satisfying side dish.

Fisherman’s Festival; September: Celebrate the bounty of the sea with the locals in autumn, when all are invited to taste, drink, dance and relax in the sunshine.
