Hotels in the Balearic Islands offer a wide variety of accommodation, both rural and urban, by the coast and in the mountains. 

Hotels on Ibiza tend to be aimed at clubbers and younger people, but there are also many family hotels to be found in the beach resorts. 

Majorca and Menorca provide mainstream accommodation, usually of three- to four-star standard, with luxury hotels available, and spas incorporated into some hotels. 

Formentera hotels are also mostly mid-range. This is the least well-known of the Balearic Islands.

Nit de Foc (Night of Fire) in Majorca; June: This event is one of the biggest annual parties in Majorca and you shouldn’t miss it if you can get to Palma in June. See fireworks, bonfires, concerts and naughty “demons” and then dance the night away in Parc de Mar.

Festa de Sant Llorenc in Menorca; August: This huge party in Alaior is a remarkable thing to be a part of in usually hushed Menorca. Eat paella, hear music, see the cavalcade of horse riders and feel very much a part of local life during this summer event.
