But the gorgeous stretch of beach hasn't changed a bit, and that's why millions flock here every year when the resort shakes off its winter coat.
For another shot of excellent nightlife, Benalmadena is just 10 minutes along the coast. Malaga is also close by; you can visit by train or hire a car and see the city. The rest of the Costa del Sol is also worthy of exploration, and you can visit Gibraltar. The stunning countryside of Andalusia is just a short distance inland where you'll find quiet villages steeped in Spanish tradition. See the historic city of Ronda or mountaintop Mijas.
