Book in advance to secure the best deals, and make sure to avoid the peak season when prices for accommodation will shoot up as a result of the hordes of tourists descending on Dalaman.
Prices in the winter are usually the cheapest, followed by those in spring and autumn. The summer months of June, July and August are the most expensive as the temperatures rise and the numbers of visitors increases accordingly.
If you’re after a vibrant, atmospheric, full-on stay in the Dalaman region, head to Marmaris, which boasts some of the Turquoise Coast’s best accommodation – there’s plenty to choose from, from family-friendly holiday villas to deluxe five-star properties.
Many people opt to stay in the Long Beach and Siteler areas which are moments from the beach, but if you want to be close to the heart of the town, Central Marmaris has a few decent but cheap hotels where rooms are available from around £30 a night.
